Kinsta 8-hour site migration review (2026): fee, hours and refund
Kinsta offers a paid option to have a WordPress site migrated within eight hours. This page summarises Kinsta's changelog and current docs, with links.

What it is
- Kinsta's changelog says you can pay US$49 to request an expedited migration, and that Kinsta will move the site within eight hours or refund the fee. [1]
- Kinsta's current migration docs repeat the US$49 per site price and the 8-hour target, and say the fee is refunded if the target is missed. [2]
When the clock runs
- Kinsta says it aims to complete expedited migrations within eight hours between 9 a.m. and 11 p.m. UTC, Monday to Friday, and its docs say migrations do not take place at weekends. [1] [2]
Free migrations and agency credits
- Standard migrations from other hosts are free and unlimited, up to the number of WordPress installs in your Kinsta plan, according to Kinsta's June 2024 changelog. [3]
- Agency plans receive credits for free expedited migrations, up to 10 depending on the plan's WordPress install limit. [1]
How to request one
- In MyKinsta, go to WordPress sites, then the Migrations tab, then Request new migration, and choose 'Expedited Migration in 8 hours' as the timeframe. [1]
What this page does not cover
We have not migrated a site with Kinsta. Kinsta's docs [2] note that complex sites can take longer, so read Kinsta's conditions before relying on the 8-hour target.
