Webflow Apps review (2026): installing, permissions and removal
Webflow Apps are third-party apps installed from the Webflow Marketplace. This page summarises Webflow's help centre, with links.

What Apps are
- Webflow describes Apps as third-party applications you install on a site or Workspace from the Webflow Marketplace. They can extend forms, CMS Collections, User Accounts, Ecommerce and the Designer. [1]
- Some Apps open inside the Designer in an App window and can add 'custom elements' to the canvas; others run in the background, for example for data sync. [1]
Installing and permissions
- The documented install flow is: open the App's Marketplace page, click Add to site, choose Workspaces and/or sites, click Authorize app, then follow the App's instructions. Apps can also be installed from the Apps panel. [1]
- Webflow notes that authorizing an App for a Workspace gives it access to all current and future sites in that Workspace, and that you cannot change an App's permissions, only its scope (a site or a Workspace). [1]
Removing an App
- Webflow says that after you revoke an App's access, elements it added stay on your site, while custom code it added is removed the next time you publish. [1]
- Removing a Workspace-level authorization removes the App from every site in that Workspace. [1]
Cost and review
- Webflow states that App pricing is set by each App's developer and that Apps and App versions are reviewed for security before they are added to the Marketplace. [1]
- Webflow's developer documentation describes guidelines and a submission and review process for developers who publish Apps. [2]
