Webflow page templates review (2026): how they work, per the docs

Webflow added page templates in 2024. This page summarises Webflow's own update post and help article, with links.

What Webflow announced

• Webflow's update post says page templates let designers templatize page structures they build often (for example an event or product page), and that they are available on all Site plans. [1]
• The same post presents page templates as a step towards a 'page building mode' for marketers and clients. [1]

What the help centre says now

• Webflow's help article says new pages created from a page template inherit the template's page design and settings. [2]
• It states you can add up to 40 template pages per site, and that template pages do not count against the static page limit. [2]
• To create a page from a template, the documented steps are: open the Pages panel, go to Static page templates, hover over a template, click the plus icon, name the page, optionally override page settings, then click Create. [2]
• The article also notes that content, styles and page settings can be localized on static page templates. [2]

What this page does not cover

We have not built pages with this feature. Whether later edits to a template flow through to pages already created from it is not stated in the sources above, so check Webflow's documentation for that.
