What it is

Wix's help centre says Tap to Pay lets you accept payments on your phone without external hardware: customers tap a card on your phone or pay with their own phone. [1] [2]
Wix's September 2023 press release was titled 'Wix Launches Tap to Pay on Android to Make In-Person Commerce Easier for U.S. Merchants with Stripe'. [3]

Where and what you need

The help article states Tap to Pay is currently available in the US and UK, with the location taken from the business location in your site's dashboard. [1]
You need the Wix app and a Wix Payments account. On Android phones NFC must be enabled, or Tap to Pay will not work. [1] [2]

Fees

Wix's help article states processing fees of 2.6% of the transaction amount plus 20 cents. [1]
It also says customers can pay with an Android phone or an iPhone, whichever phone you use. [1]

What this page does not cover

We have not taken payments with it. Fees can differ by country and change over time, so check the current Wix pricing for your location.
